Did you know? Our International Day of Happiness is today!
I get my happy on this time every year on March 20th because Vernal Equinox is coming right up in my neck of the woods. But the United Nation’s decision in 2012 to establish our International Day of Happiness gives us extra reasons to delight – Happy Day is designed to remind us to “celebrate unity and call on the international community to recognize the need for a more inclusive, equitable and balanced approach to economic growth that promotes sustainable development, poverty eradication, happiness and the well-being of all peoples.
The UN recognizes happiness as a fundamental human goal, an inherent aspiration that lies at the core of every person around the world. On #InternationalDayofHappiness, the UN invites everyone to play a role in raising public awareness of the aspirations of all human beings to be happy.”
Here are two top ways to celebrate:
Get yourself some alchemy by going to Happy Sounds Like to join the #happysoundslike campaign using the power of music to inspire hope for a better tomorrow – nominate a song that brings a smile to your face and shows your solidarity with people around the globe facing tough challenges!
The worlds happiest playlist is available today for the whole world to listen to, FREE.
Join The Day of Happiness Challenge to be inspired with ways to see how your happiness is part of something bigger! They’ll send you a FREE Happiness Pack and show you how to help make the world a happier and more connected place.
Whatever you decide, know that I celebrate YOU and YOUR happiness. Thanks for bringing yourself during good times and bad to connect and share in our world. We’re all better off for it!
