Get your alchemy on, Beautiful one! (Yes, you!)

I’m awakening to April with my very own Alchemical Alphabet for the Blogging from A to Z 2015 Challenge.  The idea is to join bloggers around the world while bringing you a WEALTH of transformative tips and breaking my record for the most posts in a month.  To do this, I’ll be blogging 6 days a week, excluding Sundays.  (Girl’s gotta have a break, right?)

Monday through Saturday I’ll be gifting you with alchemical ideas using each letter of the alphabet, in turn, to inspire, nourish and transform your life. What do ‘ya think?  Game on!

If you’ve been with me for a while, you already know I am an alchemist who is passionate about awakening the most creative and joyful aspects of your truest self through the secrets of alchemy.  But what exactly IS alchemy?

Merriam-Webster defines alchemy in rather lengthy fashion here:

1:  a medieval chemical science and speculative philosophy aiming to achieve the transmutation of the base metals into gold, the discovery of a universal cure for disease, and the discovery of a means of indefinitely prolonging life

2:  a power or process of transforming something common into something special

3:  an inexplicable or mysterious transmuting

Personally, I appreciate Google’s definition of alchemy as a seemingly magical process of transformation, creation, or combination.

That’s pretty accurate, but what does this have to do with YOU?

At it’s essence, alchemy is all about transforming the compost (feel free to insert your favorite swear word here) into gold in your life. 

It is NOT about pushing away the crap and pretending you are pure as the driven snow.  It is NOT about being suddenly enlightened and magically above all the feelings of everyday life.  It is NOT about pretending everything is OK.

Alchemy IS about working with all that has made you who you are, “good” and “bad,” communicating with and honoring the truest parts of yourself and transmuting the pond scum into strengths that completely support you in your life’s purpose.

Because there is GOLD hiding inside you, I promise.  

Trust me on this. I have a gift for seeing it even if you cannot.  It’s there and you can access it, with or without me, but you may find it easier with some support.  

I am an alchemist at heart. 

Alchemist
noun ˈal-kə-mist : a person who excels at taking something ordinary and turning it into the extraordinary. 

Nothing makes me happier than guiding someone through the magical process of transformation.  Not even outrageously delicious dark chocolate, Canadian sipping whiskey or a great red wine.  

Really, I swear! 

Because when the magic happens, it transforms EVERYTHING. Your world,  my world, EVERYONE’S WORLD. And that’s the Best. Stuff. Ever.
